The winner of the Community Excellence Award will be announced on Tuesday, May 24 during America’s Small Business Summit.

What is the Community Excellence Award?

Much of running a successful business is about making and maintaining strong relationships, something that cannot be clearly depicted in a single business plan.That is why we want to hear from the community–from the vendors and service providers, new customers and old, employees, business partners, and insurers and bankers.

The Community Excellence Award is designed to highlight the small business that demonstrates excellence-in the eyes of their community, customers, and employees. The award is part of DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award, sponsored by Sam’s Club®.

Who is eligible?

All 2011 Blue Ribbon Small Business Award® winners are eligible to win the Community Excellence Award. The business with the most votes between Tuesday, March 1 and Friday, March 11, will be presented with the award at America’s Small Business Summit in Washington, D.C.

How do I submit my vote?

Visit the voting page and select the Blue Ribbon business from your community. One vote per person. The polls will be open Tuesday, March 1 and close Friday, March 11, at 5:00 p.m. ET.

When will we find out who wins?

On Tuesday, May 24, the winner will be presented with a crystal award by U.S. Chamber President and CEO Tom Donohue during America’s Small Business Summit at the Omni Shoreham Hotel.
