The Greater Vancouver USA Chamber of Commerce is one of the most active Chambers in the region with approximately 1,200 members. Through business leadership, advocacy and community building, weve developed a strong foundation upon which our businesses can grow, thrive and succeed. But our efforts include more than just business. Our members are involved in the larger community, rolling up their sleeves for the greater good. When the dust settles, we take great pride in this community weve worked hard to create.
The Chamber provides leadership, networking, advocacy and resources to thousands of men and women in business in the Greater Vancouver / Portland OR metropolitan area. Although we currently have a strong interim CEO in Kim Capeloto it is not his intent to serve long term in this capacity. For that reason- we are currently searching for an experienced, qualified President/Chief Executive Officer. The President/CEO is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. This full-time position is under the direction of the Chamber Board of Directors. A competitive compensation package and benefits are provided.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
Forming key relationships in the community to achieve Chamber objectives and projects
Managing staff and volunteers
Effectively and visibly promoting Chamber membership and services
Being politically active locally and on a state level as a business advocate on behalf of members
Increasing volunteer participation
Managing annual budget of approximately $1 million
Desired Experience/Skills:
A four year degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
Five plus years executive management experience
Experience working with a volunteer Board of Directors
Successful, trusted leader in the Clark County business community
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Innovative thinker
Ability to use significant initiative and professional judgment
Demonstrated team building skills
Proficiency with MS Office computer software
