2009 Siemens Sustainable Community Awards

The Siemens Sustainable Community Awards recognize public-private coalitions for taking on the 21st challenge of sustainable development.
A sustainable community has committed to setting and achieving complementary economic, environmental, and social goals that will help build long-term competitiveness and success.
Awards go to local governments, chambers of commerce, convention bureaus, economic development authorities, and similar organizations representing the local initiative.
Award Categories
The following three awards will be presented at BCLC's National Corporate Community Investment Conference in Chicago, IL on May 3-5, 2009.

Sustainable Community Award for Small Community (<50,000 residents)

Sustainable Community Award for Midsize Community (50,000–500,000 residents)

Sustainable Community Award for Large Community (500,000+ residents)
Deadline
Nominations for all awards will be accepted until January 30 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
