National Security Task Force
The National Security Task Force (formerly the Homeland Security Task Force) provides Chamber members with a "seat at the table" to engage lawmakers and officials in developing sound policies to shape both public and private sector efforts to strengthen homeland security and to ensure the free flow of commerce that is essential to our economy and way of life. The National Security Task is linked to the Chamber's National Security and Emergency Preparedness Department, which represents more than 100 companies, associations, and state and local chambers. The Task Force advocates its policy positions through outreach to Congress, regulatory filings with agencies, meetings with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other administration officials, communication with the media, and public forums with elected/appointed officials and members of the business community. The Task Force makes recommendations and offers solutions to Washington leaders on an array of homeland and national security challenges - e.g., critical infrastructure protection and resilience, cyber security, supply chain security, export controls modernization - that affect the well-being of our members and the global economy. |
